I would love to replace this item. I've tried to repair it but to no avail.

Hello,

Take a look at our 82-087 handle set with 3-15/16" hole spacing. Just keep in mind that this handle set does not have an adjustable thumb latch but since yours appears to be used in the same lower position on the base plate as the 82-087, you should be good to go. Thanks for posting!

This looks good, but I'm not sure I understand about the door latch. In my second photo my latch is on the left side. Can i do this with the 82-087?

The 82-087 is not handed, so the handle and thumb latch can be installed facing either the left or right side depending on which side of the door the handle mounts onto.
