Sliding Door Handle

from Orange County, California

Hi, I would like to replace this sliding door handle. It is a 15 y/o (approx) installation. It works fine - just has a sun damaged finish. I can remove the handle and take more photos or measurements if necessary.

Thank You,

Greg G

Hello, Greg! There's no need to remove the old handle. I am very confident that you can use our 82-030 as a replacement.

Tom,

After measuring my existing handle and comparing it to your 82-030 I noticed the footprint of my handle where it bolts to the door is 1" x 7". The footprint of the 82-030 is 7/8" x 7 5/8". The extra height may not be an issue (covers up any old marks) but the reduced width may be a problem. Also, the distance between my mounting screws is 4". Can you please confirm the mounting screw distance on the 82-030? Is there any other handle that may be a better replacement?

You can also call me at: 949-872-3456.

Thank you - Greg

Hi Greg. As long as the 3-15/16" hole spacing of our 82-030 matches your existing handle set, you should be good to go. a more narrow base shouldn't be a problem because you know the door has space to install it. Thanks for posting!
