Sliding Door Needs Repair Parts

Quick Learner from Central Florida
My sliding door is made up of 2 glass panels that are in total about a size of 96"x 96". My tracks are bent, I need to repair the floor tracks and the ball bearings inside. I am not sure what type of ball bearing is inside. It also needs a new handle with a lock.

Ive attached any markings on the door for brand that I could find. The doors were put in 2010.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, the provided codes don't tell me anything about what hardware is used on this door. At this stage I can only make recommendations based on your photos.

Let's start with the track: we only sell one sliding patio glass door track, and that's our 80-106. While it may not look identical to your original, I think there's a good chance you can still use this in your door. The major difference is going to be that the flat base plate on ours isn't going to be remotely as wide as yours, but that's not necessarily a deal breaker. The benefit of having a smaller base plate is that it allows you to use the 80-106 in a much wider range of applications, adjusting it in the cavity to exactly the right position. Give it a look and see what you think. I'll share dimensions and a video at the end of this post that will help you come to a decision.

As for the ball bearings, it sounds like you're referring to the rollers. I know this isn't the news you want to hear, but the only way we can identify those is to see them removed. That means you have to remove the rollers to take photos, then you have to remove them again once you have replacements. That is of course assuming we even sell replacements, which isn't necessarily a guarantee; your doors look fairly old, and the older a door is the less likely we're able to help.

If you want to move forward on this, your next step is to remove the rollers from the door and show me a clear picture of the assembly from the back, sides, and top. You will also need to take precise dimensions for comparison, later on. I'll probably have a couple different rollers for you to consider and you'll need those measurements to decide on the best option.

I know that's a lot of work, but there is no other way. It has to be done.

Lastly, for the handle and mortise lock, I need a clear picture of each one. Seeing the mortise lock removed from the door would be ideal but it isn't always necessary. I can usually figure it out while it's still installed, just not always. Something to keep in mind as you take more photos.
