Sliding Doors - Plastic Glide

Quick Learner from Bolingbrook, IL

Hello, I have ordered from you before and I have 2 sets of sliding doors that have this white plastic piece which has a "lip" at the bottom that insert into the floor track so doors can glide open/close. This "lip" on the white plastic broke (when pressure was applied to the door) and now the door flops front to back when opening. Only parts holding the door in place are the top parts.

Can you help? Thank you in advance.

Respectfully,
Mary

Thanks for posting, Mary. I'm afraid we don't recognize the part you show here. Are you able to remove it from the door and show us the whole assembly by itself? Can you also give us its dimensions? I cannot guarantee we can find a match, but we will certainly try our best.

I will see what I can do...lots on my plate at this moment, will keep you posted in the near future. Thought it would be an easy fix?  Thank you.

Unfortunately, most closet doors are not intended to be repaired, and most old-school manufacturers have gone out of business, meaning replacement parts are even harder to find. You'll need to remove the part in order to give us a chance to track it down and avoid replacing the door.

I just happened to see this post... I wonder if you could use 23-018, because it looks very similar. Why don't you compare measurements?

Donna...great catch! I did review your suggestion part #23-018 and it might work! I will be trying to take the original part off as originally indicated by Paul & will follow up to see if the suggested part will work or at very least try to find replacement (if possible).

Thank you so much! Will keep in touch. Going out of town for a couple of weeks. Upon arrival I will slowly get back into this project.
