Sliding Foot for Lauren Casement Window

Handy Person from Brighton, Michigan
I have 20 year old Lauren aluminum clad wood casement windows. I believe at the time Lauren windows took over manufacturing for Weathervane. While refurbishing some of them, I damaged the plastic over-molded "slider foot" (my description -- the black component in the pictures) that goes on the bottom/top of the window to slide into the track that holds the casement window in place. They are very easily damaged (especially thin 20 year old plastic) when trying to reinstall the windows.

Hi there!

I'm afraid we don't sell these sliders separately. However, start by taking a look at our 36-048 hinge set. Carefully look over our dimensions and compare them to your current hardware to see if this matches up for what you need.

Thanks Emily. As near as I can tell the dimensions match although the slider foot (black thing) looks to be shorter. Also, I cannot tell for sure if the attachment point is compatible with my existing hardware (see red circle in attached photo). I suppose it does not have to be compatible if I remove the aluminum piece from the window frame, but I was hoping to just reuse the one already there. The second picture seems to have a Truth part number on it if that is helpful. Please let me know what you think.

It looks like your detach clip is either missing or was never there to being with. Our 36-048 will still work and is our best option. Just be sure to replace both the top and bottom hinges at the same time.
