Thanks for posting. Without seeing the original mortise lock it's tough to say. It might be the 82-218, but look over the dimensions and see if you think it'd fit the door. For the handle set, consider the 82-030.

Unfortunately the original mortise lock fell down inside the door. I will give those a try based on the measurements thank you for your time

That's not an uncommon occurrence with the 82-218, so that is most likely what you need! See the video below for reference on how to install--it'll be a snug fit. Let us know if you have further questions!
