Sliding Glass Door Rollers and Hard to Open and Close
One of the doors is also having an issue with locking, the one that actually has
a roller adjustment screw. The locking latch inside the door doesn't seem to fire outward when the lock is flipped on the door. Any replacement parts for that would be helpful as well.
Lastly, one of the fiberglass? frames that the door is mounted in is cracked. Not sure if that is something that is easily replaceable. Anyways thanks for any help.
Hello! I think we can help with at least most of these issues. I can tell you right away that we won't be able to help with that fiberglass frame piece in your last photo. That's part of the door frame itself, which is a little outside our ability to help. You will need to contact the door manufacturer for help there.
Let's talk about the lock first, since that one is pretty easy. It sounds like a basic issue with a broken mortise; yours is a match for our 82-218. Before you buy anything, I recommend that you remove the handle entirely and then try to throw the mortise lock manually with a screwdriver (or something similar). If it still fails to work, then you can be 100% sure that fixing the mortise will solve your problem. Just a little peace of mind.
As for the roller, yours appears to be missing its adjustment screw. If the roller has a poor adjustment that can't be fixed, then it would explain why the door feels like it's dragging. Even more likely, the roller is probably just plumb broken and needs to be replaced. That's easier said than done, though; the only way to ID a match is to remove the original. If you can upload a photo of it here for me to review, I can recommend a match for you.
That's a big project, though. We have a video that should help, at least. If you do show us a photo of the roller, please make sure that we can see the back end, top, and side clearly. Dimensions would also be a big help.
