Sliding Glass Door Wheel Replacement

A home owner from California says:
I have a broken wheel from 70's patio sliding door that needs replacement. I like to find out if you carry them and if so, should I replace both? Also do you have a DIY instructions?

Thanks,
Tony

Hello, Tony. It looks like you have a Likit patio glass door roller like our 81-265. Do you agree?

To replace these roller assemblies, you need to remove the door and lay it on top of a pair of saw horses or on a table. Remove the two bottom frame screws and then use a block of wood an hammer to carefully tap off the bottom rail. That should allow you to slide out the old roller assembly and slide in the new. When you finish installing the rollers, tap on the bottom rail, screw on the frame screws, and reinstall the door.
A quick learner says:
Thank You for your quick response. The 81-265 looks just like it. Is that a standard size or is there more than one size of that type?
A professional from California says:
The screw port that the roller slides into is crimped. You will need to un-crimp that as much as possible before the roller can be removed.

I do not know of a version of the 81-265 in other sizes, but you should compare your dimensions to ours just in case.
