I have two sliding glass patio doors with roller assemblies that need to be replaced, but i have been unable to locate any information on them or the door. The doors might be custom made replacements for the originals.
The roller assemblies are fit into an aluminum extrusion inside the door frame, rather than held in place by a screw. There are no markings on the assemblies, except on the bearing itself which indicates it is a Kilian bearing from Syracuse, NY. Just the bearing could be replaced, except the holes where the bearing was pinned has been deformed into a slot. I think the door was too heavy for the assemblies.

Thank you for submitting your inquiry to our discussion board. My first thought is for you to take a look at the 81-126 roller which looks very similar to yours, see if the dimensions match up. Another thought that back in the day I would swap out the wheel with the 81-228 or retro fit the 81-023 patio roller into the bottom rail in the door. It's a little labor intensive. Look at the parts suggested from the web site to see what you think. |
