Sliding Patio Door Track

Contractor from Lexington, KY
We have a customer that has an older wooden sliding patio door with cut glass that appears to need a new track. The track is approximately 6' long. Is this something that can be replaced? The existing track looks like something was dropped on it and it is bent and binds up.

Thanks for posting! There is a chance the 80-106 Sliding Glass Door Track could work for the repair. You'll need to first determine if the existing track can be removed so that this one can be installed in its place. Take a look over the specifications on the website to see what you think.

The video tutorial below provides a detailed explanation on installing them.

Another option would be to repair the track using the 80-102 Sliding Door Track Cover. You'll need to make sure the track isn't too damaged and that any nicks or dents in the track are packed out before putting the cover over. Otherwise, the cover will begin to become damaged in those spaces.

There is a video tutorial for installing this as well. You'll find it tagged below this thread.
