Sliding Patio door lock which latches on the inside

it is an 8' sliding patio door. There is currently no lock, latch, or handle on the door. It needs to be able to lock and unlock from the outside/inside and the latch is on the inside when the door is closed. There are 3 holes through the door as you look at it. There are no holes in the face of the door that closes to the frame of the door. Each of the elongated holes is 1" long. From the center of one hole to the center of the next hole is 2 1/2". From the top of the first hole to the bottom of the next is 6'. When door is closed from the center of the hole to the door frame is 1/2"
