Sliding door Diecast aluminum keeper

Quick Learner from Florida
I'm trying to find a sliding door keeper with a mounting hole distance of approximately 3 inches. Most universal keepers seem to have less that 2 inches for hole spacing so I am having a hard time finding a replacement.

Hello,

We do not carry an exact match for your keeper but we offer a few similar options. If you could show us the lock assembly that engages with your keeper, that would help us determine if one of our parts could work as a replacement. Thank you!

Thanks for replying. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I'm posting the pictures of the locking mechanism and the hole that the catch was attached to. Notice that the gap between the two screw holes is too wide for any universal catch replacements so that's my predicament right now

Thanks for getting back to us. Only one of the three pictures came through but it looks like you have a recessed handle set similar to our 82-001, 82-002, or 82-008 depending on how the specifications compare to yours. If so, the 89-003 or 89-018 would be our best replacement options for your keeper. The hole spacing is smaller, so you would most likely need to make new installation holes. I'm sorry that we won't be able to supply a closer match but take a look and see what you think.

looks like the more important picture didn't upload. sorry about that
my main issue is the mounting point for the catch has been cut like this and the holes are spaced to accommodate the one with the 3 inch slot space.

are there any parts that allow me to use one of the pieces you carry? i'm out of ideas aside from cutting a metal plate to cover the space and attaching it to that.

Unforutnately, we were not able to locate a keeper like yours with 3" hole spacing. I agree that you may need to install a flat piece of metal to mount over the existing holes and then attach the new keeper to the door jamb. You might need to countersink the holes and use flat-head screws so that the screw heads won't interfere when installing the new keeper.
