Sliding door handle

Contractor from Maryland
Need a sliding door handle to replace this one. I'm looking for one that has a key lock on the outside.

Hello! We should be able to assist you with this project. The first handle set to come to mind is our 82-030B. This is a slightly different style and design compared to your original part but should still work in the same capacity as long as two details match up.

First, you need to check to ensure that the installation hole spacing is the same as 3-15/16", center-to-center. This is an important dimension to have match so that you don't have to drill new holes.

Second, you need to make sure that the thumb lever on your old handle set is oriented in the lower-most position. This might be hard to conceptualize at first, but hopefully I can explain it. There are three possible mounting positions for a thumb lever: upper, middle, and lower. Yours looks like it could be lower, but it's hard to be 100% sure.

As long as it is then our 82-030B should work perfectly fine for this application. It will be fully compatible with your existing mortise lock and will install without requiring that you drill new holes.

Please feel free to reach out if you had any questions!
