Can you confirm the distance between the two holes, center-to-center? Can you also show me a photo of the internal mortise lock? That will allow us to determine what handle would be compatible with your door.

same numbers inside as this original poster, seems like 3 15/16 hole spacing, see picture for latching mechanism - would also prefer white

Thanks for these new photos! That's a huge help. Based on the hole spacing and the design of the latch, I would recommend our 82-003. See what you think!

All good except door is 1.5 inch thick. What now?

In that case, you will need to reuse your original latch hook and installation screws to install the 82-003.
