Sliding door handle set

Question

We recently bought a house with a large sliding glass door leading to the patio. It had an after market handle on it when moved in and it promptly broke. We've replaced now a couple of times with cheap lowe's brand but they break quickly. The existing handle has 6 9/16 screw spacing.  I can't find a label to identify the maker.  Found part 82- 078 which looks like it might work, but latch arm looks like it needs a matching mechanism. Is this true?

I'm not too sure what you mean by "matching mechanism". If you're referring to the mortise lock and/or keeper for the 82-078 handle set, I'm afraid that both of those parts have been discontinued for quite some time. I apologize for any inconvenience.
