Sliding door latch

Quick Learner from Indianapolis

My 80 year old mother got locked outside her back door due to this faulty latch. The latch inside operating lever has little tension to remain in the up position. When the door was shut it fell downward to the locked position. We need the inside latch assembly which contains the operating lever. The space between the mounting screws is 3-15/16". The latch assy. has Canadian patent number 919213 patented in 1973.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. Our 82-020 can replace what you show here but our modern 82-030 might be a better replacement. Your lock is a match for either the 82-211 or 82-214B, depending on the dimensions. Look over the specifications for these parts and compare them with yours to see what you think.

I ordered the 82-030. It was a reliable replacement.
