Sliding door lever lock

A handy person from PA says:
Purchased e2703 to repair existing lock. Pin seems too long when sandwiching lock together. Is cutting the solution?

Hello,

If you're referring to our 82-086 handle set, the key lock's spindle does need to be cut down to size in most cases. It is longer so that it will accommodate a wider variety of door thicknesses. Take a look at our legacy handle guide here where you'll find more information to help you cut down the 82-310 key lock spindle to fit your door. Thank you!

Thanks.Had assembled latch. Cut with Dremel and it fits. Lock works fine.
