This lock lacks the part that should be in the door frame... the part the lock should "grab."

Thanks for writing in. Do you mean the keeper or strike plate that the door's internal lock latches to? If so, there's a few possibilities, depending on your door's mortise lock. See our 89-030 and 89-042 to start. Let me know if one of these looks like it matches what you need.
