Sliding door lock repair

Home Owner from Batavia, IL
The latch for my sliding door snapped off. I am not certain if I just need the latch, the latch and handle, or the entire locking mechanism as well. There are no labels on the door or hardware, however, I believe the handle replacement would be the Legacy Handle Set (no key), product code 82-089 or similar. The door is 1 5/8" wide. I am not a professional, so any guidance you can provide (parts and installation guides) would be appreciated.

If the latch is the only thing that broke, then you can use our 82-107 as a replacement. I'm very confident this will be compatible with your existing hardware.

The mortise may also be trouble. I recommend testing it manually with a screwdriver to see if you can still throw the hook. If it works fine, then you don't need to worry about it. If it hangs up, though, then you need a new one. Show me a photo and I can help you ID a match.

The video below should be helpful.

This is great info, thanks! I was able to use needlenose pliers to throw the hook, so I probably just need the latch, which I ordered. Thanks again.
