Sliding door rollers

Handy Person from Indiana
These are the rollers from my 1972 PPG Herculite K 3/16" glass sliding door.
There are no markings whatsoever on the door anywhere, other than the glass marking above. The glass is 32"W x 73" T. We had to unscrew the side of the frame to get to the roller. All measurements are the same as your part no. 81-083. Is this the correct part?

Thanks for reaching out to us! It does appear that our 81-083 Patio Glass Door Roller is the correct replacement but I can only confirm that it is a match in terms of design. You'll need to be sure to compare the dimensions to confirm that this is the right fit for your door. Take a look at the diagram below for reference.

Yes, the dimensions are the same. Thank you. I will order two of these.

Should I replace the screws that are on the roller? If so, can you provide the part number? Thank you!

It would probably be best to use the same installation screw your current roller uses but you'll need to examine them to make the determination to replace them or not.

The 81-083 roller does come with the adjustment screw attached; however, if you are speaking of the screw tab at the back of the roller, that can take either a #8 or #10 screw. It attaches to the patio glass door rail at the bottom. You would need to take one of your screws to a hardware store in your area to have them match it up to the screw that fits into your door frame.

I hope this helps!

Yes thank you so much. Very much appreciate your help. Does the new roller need to be lubricated before installing?

I'm happy to help! The new roller should not need to be lubricated. It should be ready to install.
