Sliding door track roller

A quick learner from California says:
Hi there,

I'm trying to find a replacement my sliding door roller assembly. (Or just the wheel, if that's better.)

It has a metal wheel, and it seems to be 1-1/8" diameter, at the *widest* part. It looks very similar to this one:
https://www.swisco.com/Lupton-Roller/pd/Patio-Glass-Door-Single-Wheel-Rollers/81-269

*Except* that one has a 1-1/4" wheel. Mine has a 1-1/8" wheel, at least as far as I can tell.

The wheel is 5/16" thick and the overall thickness of the assembly is about 11/16" at the widest.

Also, when I removed the screw that holds it in, a lot of rubbery sticky residue was attached to it. Is this something I need to replace/worry about?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Antun

Hello, Antun. I agree that our 81-269 looks like a great match. If the only difference is the diameter of the wheel then I wouldn't worry too much about it. These rollers can adjust and that usually makes up for that kind of difference. I think you'll be okay. In a worst case scenario you can always buy a new wheel in the appropriate size and swap it out, but we can cross that bridge if we get there.

As for the residue you found, I'm not sure what that might be. It could just be grease or some other lubrication that someone applied the last time these doors were repaired.
