Sliding glass door handle / lock assembly

Question

Trying to help out my grandfather... His sliding glass door handle finally had enough. House was built in the early to mid 1960's. He's pretty sure this is the original handle on the door. Any help / advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for writing in! There is a chance that we can supply you with the replacement handle set needed for this door but I'll need a bit more information. To start, please confirm the measurement for the distance between the installation hole spacing, from the center of the top hole to the center of the bottom hole. I'll also need to see a photo of the internal locking mechanism that latches to the keeper/strike parallel to the frame.

Given the age of the part, I am not confident that we will be able to provide your with a suitable replacement. With that said, I am happy to look into this for you to determine if there is a solution we can provide you with.
