Sliding glass door handle replacement needed

Home Owner from Richmond, VA
I have a sliding glass door handle that broke and supplier is out of business and Window Depot in Richmond, VA will not find me a new one, so I'm on my own.  It is unique because it has screws that go in on the side of it, and not front to back, see pictures.  Do you have anything that would work as a replacement?

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in! This looks a lot like the 82-080 Mortise Style Handle Set we supply; the keyed version is the 82-081The internal lock on the door appears to be the 82-238 Double Hook Mortise Lock, which is sold separately from the set.

While I am confident these are the replacements you'll need, be sure to look over their dimensions and compare them to your existing hardware. You'll want to make sure to carefully compare the details as well.

Also, I would be remiss if I did not mention that we typically see this type of damage on patio door handles when excessive force is applied. It usually indicates that there may be an issue with the rollers and/or the track at the bottom of the door. This can be attributed to dirt/debris being caught in/on either of them or possibly damage.

That being said, it would be advised to check them to see if they might need to be cleaned or replaced. Otherwise, you may find that you'll need to replace the handle again, fairly soon.

I've included video tutorials below so that you may review how to remove and install the rollers/tracks and what we'd need to see to identify the rollers.
