Sliding glass door hardware

Friend from Harrisburg, PA
Assisting a friend. When she closes her sliding glass door from the outside, the locking hardware drops into the locked position; thus preventing her from accessing her house through the sliding door. She is locked outside.

I dismantled the hardware. Printed on the inside hardware is the following as it appears line for line:

"DNS INDUSTRIES 12 INSIDE PULL"
"MIAMI, FLA. -1400 SERIES"

Printed on the outside hardware is the following as it appears line for line:

"DNS INDUSTRIES 13/23 OUTSIDE PULL"
"MIAMI, FLA. -1400 SERIES"

No issue with the keeper inside door frame or the wooden handles.

I saw a recommendation online for 82-008 lock. Please provide your input. Also, if you recommend a replacement part, please advise if I need a new keeper and handles.

Thanks for your inquiry. So if we were to base the replacement solely on the DNS mold numbers you provided to us, I would say that our 82-008 patio door handle would make a good match for you. However, your outside pull numbers are leading me towards our 82-002. I would suggest you look at both our products and carefully compare them to yours to see which one would make the better replacement. You should be able to reuse your existing keeper with either of these handles.
