Sliding glass door lock.

I have an MI windows sliding glass door. The lock is a double mortise lock and won't release anymore. The plate is 9 inches and 7 3/4 from the center of the top screw to the center of the bottom screw. The total width of the lock appears to be 1 11/16 and 1 5/16 from the back of the screw on the lock.
