I have a ANDERSEN LATCH MECHANISM, PS 3 PANEL latch on two of my sliding doors. Unfortunately, the latch is useless as a slight push on the door (pushing into the house, not along the slider) bypasses the latch entirely.
Any suggestions?

A couple of suggestions come to mind. Before we get in to all of that, may we see photos of the latch you are referring to?
