What?s the plastic part on the top backside of a sliding glass door that holds it from having any play.

The nylon piece you are referring to is a guide. Our 86-028 is worth considering. Take a look and let us know if this is the part for you.

This looks like a patio glass door guide. We don't sell this exact part, but it is similar to our 86-025. Review its dimensions and see how well they compare.
