Sliding glass door wheel

A quick learner from Stoughton Mass says:
Looking to find something close to replace my sliding glass door wheels. Condo is 40 yrs old...so im assuming my door is that old. There are no identifying marks that I can find on frame or glass or wheels. Wheel assy is 3" long to end of wheel. 1" tall. Wheel is 1 1/16" diameter. Screw at top of assy is 1 1/8' from square end. Bottom of frame cutout is 3 1/2"

Start by looking at our 81-262. This looks similar in design to your roller, and the dimensions look good, too. Let me know what you think.

A quick learner from Stoughton Mass says:
2 questions on your suggested replacement wheel. 1). Does 81-262 collapse to a rectangle when adjustable screw is turned? 2). I don't think the screw hole at the top will line up with my existing threaded hole. My screw hole location dimension from end of flat end is 1 1/8th " this one says 1 9/16

I see what Tom is getting at, but I don't think our 81-262 will work. Believe it or not, your best bet is probably our our 81-023 (along with the 33-103 and 33-104 screws). It just takes a bit of work. You will need to remove the bottom rail off of your patio door to install this new type of roller. Take a look at the diagram below for some insight on how this installs. I won't lie to you, it's not the easiest project in the world. You may want the help of a local professional.
