Sliding part in the window

Hello!

We are wondering if we need to get a whole new window or if we can just replace the little sliding clip that is missing in this part of the window. I think it's used to hold the window up and lock it when it's down. But I'm not sure.

Hello there. This is called a tilt latch. You certainly should be able to replace this without having to replace the entire window! There's many different kinds of tilt latches, so the best way to identify one that will work for you is to remove an undamaged one and show us pictures from the top, side and bottom. We should be able to narrow down possible options for you from there.
