Patio door has handle but the other side of door is missing the insert that the handle goes into to lock patio. What's this part called and can you order this part?

Hey there, thanks for posting! The sliding patio door part you are searching for is called an a keeper.

The internal mortise lock you have is compatible with a few different keepers. With that said, it would be hard to determine which on you need exactly, since the part is missing. Also, given the currently installation holes, you may need to drill new holes into the frame to properly install the new keeper.

A few of the compatible keepers are our 89-020, 89-021, and 89-021D. Start there and take a look at each of these on the website. Look over the dimensions shown on each product page to determine if either of them will work.

The dimension you'll want to consider the most is the depth of the space where this keeper would be installed. You'll want to have enough space there so that the door will close and seal shut properly.

I hope this helps!
