Slot width for glazing bead

A quick learner from Virginia says:
Can you tell me the required slot width for this 55-156 glazing bead? Thanks

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

If you were to install this into a slot, I believe the width would be 3/32". However in most cases this type of glazing would go behind the glass in the frame and catch onto the side of the cut out in the sash. Normally there is a lip at the side of the sash cut out that the back would clip onto to secure it in place.

If you can send us some photos of your glazing bead you are trying to replace then maybe we can identify the one that would work best on you window.
