Snap in Glazing

Home Owner from Australia
The snap in beading is 25 plus years old. I can't find the brand of window installed in the house which has 4 windows of the same type. I don't need exactly the same shape or colour as long as any replacement bead is the right size and keeps the glass in place.

Some of the beading is missing and what is left is very brittle.

I live in New South Wales, Australia.

I can't find any supplier of the part in Australia by searching the Internet.

Many thanks

Ralph

Hey, Ralph. I could not find your exact glazing bead. My first thought would be to check locally, but you have already done that.

That being said, take a look at the 55-191 and 55-194. You might be able to use one of these glazing beads as a substitute. Worst case scenario would require you to use some double stick glazing tape or silicone caulk to secure the beading. This is probably the best solution we can offer at the moment.

My main question to you has to be "Where did you get the American ruler?"
