I also have an aluminum garden window and have found it to be very cold in the winter. I can't say that replacing the glazing strips will cut down the wind. Check the sealant that holds the glass to the frame. Being old, the sealant might have dried up.
In regards to this glazing strip, our 55-127 profile looks like a match, except the back leg is 3/4" compared to your 9/16". When I was in the field and came across this type of situation, I would trim the back leg with a razor knife for it to fit. I also pulled up two other possible replacements you could consider, like our 55-017 and 55-029. |
