Sonesta Silicon Valley - Window locks

Handy Person from California

Hello,

I'm trying to look for some window locks (or parts) that are probably from the 80's or 90's. We have many that are missing the part that moves the lock to open and lock, it simply slides up and down. Wondering if you guys happen to have these locks or parts for these locks or even a replacement suggestion.

Thank you!

Hello! This looks like a heavy duty window. It's so heavy duty, in fact, that the hardware you're using here is more often seen on patio doors.

We don't sell a handle set like you have here, but since the mortise latch is from a patio door odds are we can use a patio door handle, too. I'd like you to measure the distance between the two installation screw holes (center to center) and write out what you get. From there, I will do my best to find something that lines up with those holes. That way you won't have to drill new ones.

center to center from the screws is 3 and 3/4 inches

In that case, my stop suggestion would be our 82-030 (which is made in a black finish). This has a 3-15/16" hole center spacing and is designed to be used with the 82-218 mortise lock, which appears to be the same style that's in your door currently. Just note that your mortise needs to have a 45 degree slot to accommodate the thumb lever on the 82-030

Please also note that there are a ton more differences between your handle and ours. I cannot confirm that this product will work for you. However I do think this is going to be our best option for you. Look these over and see what you think.
