Thanks for posting. Can you confirm the length of the outer tube, not including the colored tip? it looks around 28" in your photo but it is hard to tell. Can you also tell us the diameter of the outer tube, or where the white tube is still intact? This should be either 3/8" or 5/8". Finally, can you give us a closer look at the colored tip? Many thanks.

As far as sash stops, if you are referring to what would cover up the spiral balance, then no I am afraid we do not carry those parts.

27.5 in.

The white plastic tube is oval in shap, but the underlying metal spring is 14/32 and the channel in the window through which I will insert the balance is 1/2 inch wide.

If your balance is 27.5" long, typically we just round up to 28". As far as diameter, is there another balance of the same size available with the outer tube intact enough to measure? For a few reasons I thought this might be 5/8", especially if the diameter of the inner rod is more than 3/8". But then you seem to be indicating your window jamb is just a 1/2" wide. A 3/8" Tilt Window Spiral Balance is our Series 900. A 5/8" Variation is our Series 600. If you can confirm this outer tube measurement, we should be able to determine whether you need a S600-29 or a S900-29.
