Spiral Balance Advice

Question

I have several Spiral Balances that need replaced. I have two questions:

1. I have 3/8 balances but they have black tips. I do not see that option. Which tip should I order. My sash weighs about 11lbs. Picture of existing tube on tape measure attached.

2. I have 28.5 length balances. Should I order 28 or 29?

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm afraid no 3/8" diameter spiral balance was ever made with a black tip. You may want to triple-check that diameter to be 100% sure. It isn't possible for us to get accurate dimensions from photos of a tape measure, unfortunately.

If you're certain it's 3/8" then you would need to obtain the precise sash weight and refer to the chart under the product description on the S900-29 store page to determine the proper color option. As for the length, you can round up to 29".
