I have a 3/8" DIA white tip balance that measures 27 3/4". Can I call that 28"?

Thanks for posting. You should be okay with the 28" long balances. Be certain your balances are indeed 3/8" thick, as it can be tricky to tell if your older outer covering has worn down or is removed. If it's 3/8", you'll need the S900-28. If it's 5/8", you'll need the S600-28. I'm not certain what color tip you have; you will be better off weighing your window sash, and then matching that exact weight with one of the stamp options on the product page.
