The rod on my vinyl windows is 40 inches long and 3/8 inch dia I need 4 of these.

Thanks for posting. Can you double-check that diameter? It's pretty rare to have a spiral balance that long that's only 3/8" in diameter; usually they are 5/8" (and thus our Series 600), so it's best to confirm to be safe. You will need the exact weight of the window sash to confirm what color tip option you need. Many thanks.

my rod is 3/8 inch round and 4 inches long. the window weight is 25 lbs. is this the information you need?

Hey Jim. Thanks for clarifying. If this indeed correct, then I just sent you an email with a custom link enclosed to order (4) 40" Series 900 Spiral Balances. They will have a Green Tip, which indicates they can support a window sash in the weight range of 14 through 26 pounds. Let me know if you have any other questions.
