Spiral Balance Pivot Lock Shoe Replacement

Hi,

Several of the Spiral Balance Pivot Lock Shoes on two of my windows are cracking, falling apart and need to be replaced.

The stickers on the windows are very faded but I was able to figure out that they were installed in 93 and 94...
The Shoes themselves have the marking of 590C...

I measured the width and thickness of the track:

Width: about 1 and 5/8 inch

Thickness: about 1 and a 1/4 inch

Please advice what would be the appropriate shoe replacement product.

Hi Chris, thank you for posting,

To further review, the original pivot shoe will need to be removed from the window channel to obtain the dimensions. We will need written out dimensions of the thickness and width of the pivot shoe to move forward. Thank you!

Hi Lauren,
The issue with removing the original Pivot shoe from the channel is that I would have to cut the channel to pry out the Pivot shoe and once I do that I won't be able to close the window again until I get the necessary parts - I barely was able to close it shut once I inspected the damage an took photos - can you please try to gove me an approximate model/size Pivot shoe that might work based on the pictures and description I sent?

Hi Chris,

We have seen your pivot shoe before and believe you may be able to use the 15-118 pivot shoe with a 1-1/4" width and 9/16" thickness. Again, we cannot guarantee without knowing the exact dimensions. Take a look to see what you think.
