Spiral Balance Tip Color

My balances are:
3/8" diameter
36" long
White tip

Window weight:
26#

Please advise proper tip color for replacement balance.

Thanks for posting! Before I can offer the applicable color tip for your balance, can you first tell me if your window is tilt or non-tilt?

My mistake. I realized that I had failed to give that info after sending. My windows are tilt-out. The 900 series is where I was looking.

Not a problem! I would recommend the Green Tip then. For an S900-36, a Green Tip can support a window sash weight of 14 through 26 pounds.

Please keep in mind that the weight range information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.
