Spiral Balance for Non-Tilt Window

Hi, I have an apartment in an old 1899 building in Brooklyn, NY. We have large ~5x10' windows and some of them are stuck, basically impossible to move at all. I think we need new spiral balances, but want to make sure we get the right ones. The one I removed is 5/8" diameter and 50" long. Do you think we can get something from Swisco that would work? Thanks!

We may be able to replace this balance, but it would have to be specially made due to the length. Before we can get started, can you tell me how many you need? In the meantime, we will continue to research this size.

Thank you again for your patience. We have everything we need to get started! I just wanted to give you a heads up that these new balances will be using Black Tips. Your original had White Tips, but back in the day White was used to indicate a strong spring. These days, it's the opposite; White means light-duty spring, Black means heavy-duty spring. I know it's confusing, but hopefully that makes sense. Who knows why they changed it.
