Spiral Balance for tilt window

A quick learner from Franklin, TN says:
"Pic 1" shows the broken balance (pictures out of order). There appears to be a red tip, but that was inside the balance. If you see "Pic 2", that is the balance on the opposite side of the window - it does not have a colored tip. So I assume you should ignire the broken red piece in "Pic 1". The sash weighs 12 lbs. The broken balance's tube is 28" long with a 5/8" diameter.

Hello, thank you for posting,

Based on the measurements provided, please review the S600-28 spiral balance that has a 5/8" diameter. For a 12 pound window sash, you can use a red tip option. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
