Hi,
I have been reading answers to questions regarding balancers and I just need to verify my needs. I'm pretty sure I need a 900 series. That top white one is broken good. the plastic encases the metal tube. It looks like 5/8" diameter the other two are 3/8"

If the outer tube is 5/8" in diameter, then I'd recommend our Series 600 spiral balance instead. Do not count the inner spring when determining the diameter, only the outer tube.

Hi,
I was successful installing 2 of the 3 sets of balancers. I had a problem with the 24" balancers. They are 1/2" shorter than the original balancers and did not allow the window to close. Additionally, I should have ordered the 900 series. These rods are visibly smaller in circumference. Can I get 24 1/2" to 25" spiral balancers?
Regards,
Terry

Many balance manufacturers used to make their balances on the 1/2", but modern companies no longer do this. I think you should be safe going up to 25". As for the diameter, like Tom said it depends on the outer tube. If the outer tube is 5/8" or 9/16", stick with the Series 600. If it's 3/8", go with the Series 900 instead.
