Spiral Sash Balance

Question

My existing spiral sash balances are 3/8" X 29" with a yellow tip. The removable aluminum tilt sash in a single hung window weighs 25lbs. I did not see "YELLOW" as a selectible tip color in your color guide. What color should I purchase to replace the two balances in this window?

Thanks for posting! Sounds like you have our Series 900 spiral balance. I would suggest the green tip; an S900-29 with a green tip has a sash weight range of 14 through 26 pounds.

Please keep in mind that the weight range capacity information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate
