Spiral Window Balancer - Plastic covers

Question

I have a 1929 house.  Not sure if the window is original.  It is a double hung window with Spiral balancers.  The spiral was covered in plastic that has now worn out.  Window still work great - would prefer the spiral (spring) was covered.  Do you sell a thing plastic cover that is about 1/2" in diamater

We appreciate you writing in to SWISCO. I am afraid we do not offer the plastic tube covers for your spiral balance. However, you can replace your current spiral balance with the S600-29. This includes a metal covering over the spring that will not wear off over a period of time. Get back to us and let us know if this sounds like an option for you.
