Spiral balance

Question

It's seems to be a 23" spiral balance. 5/8 diameter. White tip. The end of the spiral seems to be damaged. No shoe or bracket anywhere in the window frame nor near window.

Thank you for bearing with us during this busy season. It looks like you have an old Palm Beach window.

Can you confirm the length of the balance, including the spiral tip? The spiral should be fully retracted in the tube, but the tip of it should still poke out. You'll want to use an undamaged balance as a reference. If there's an identical window in the house, we can use the balance from that window as a reference.

You will also need the 15-040 attachment that hooks to the balance and fits into the window sash.
