Spiral balance broke when window closed.

I purchased six S900-34" balances to replace my old 3/8" diameter x 34" long balances for tilt windows.Severa;l arrived dented . When I tried to install the others they broke when I shut the window. Here is a photo of the old balance compared to the new one you sent me.

Hi, thanks for reaching out about your spiral balance issue. You may need an extra long spiral. We know that the tube is 34", but can you tell us the length of the spiral?

The length of the spiral is 36 inches to the end
