Spiral balance tip colour

Question

My window sash weighs 17 pounds. I think the old ones are red on the top sash and blue on the bottom sash. The sash weight seems to be on the upper limit of the red. Would you recommend the blue or red? 18 inch long by 5/8

Thanks for posting. Is this for our S600-18? If so, 17 pounds falls comfortable in the Blue Tip weight range. Since your old balance had Blue Tips, as well, I think this would be your best bet.
