Spiral balance weight issue

A quick learner from Michigan says:
After watching your videos (which were a great help by the way) I decided to weigh my sashes before ordering new spiral balances and they came in at 29.8 lbs. According to your website the red tip balances that I'm replacing are only rated for windows that weigh up to 29 lbs. I know you said the weather strip should help with some of the weight but I feel like it would be a good idea to just go ahead and order the blue tip balances just to be safe. Is there anything wrong with this or is it a good idea.

Thanks for the help in advance.

I see no problem with that at all! The Blue Tip comfortably covers a weight of 29.8 pounds.
