Hello,

I have a few windows that drop suddenly when lifted. When further investigating it appears the spiral balance slides freely out of the column.. I suspect it's supposed to fixed in some way at the top of the coil. The tube measures 24 inches and has a yellow/off white tip. Could you help me in identifying which spiral balance I need to replace this?

Additionally I have a number of the clips the release the double hung part of the window out which are broken. They are 2 3/4 wide. Could you help me in identifying that piece as well?

Thanks,
Joy

Hi Joy. If the outer tube, not including the tip, is 24" long then it appears you need either the S600-24 or S900-24, depending on the diameter of your old tube. White color tips aren't made anymore, but if you obtain the exact weight of your window sash you can use that to determine the color tip you need. For tilt latches, start by looking at our 26-243 and 26-244. See if they match what you need.
